In R.J. Corsinis' Dictionary of Psychology (1989) violence is defined as "the expression of hostility and rage through physical force directed against persons or property." In this website the term physical force includes verbal and emotional as well as physical abuse.
The purpose of this website is to assist evaluators (screeners and assessors) in their search for a violence test that will meet their needs.
All tests discussed in this website contain a Violence Scale, Truthfulness Scale (to determine client truthfulness) and an Alcohol Scale as well as a Drugs Scale. Other scales (measures) are also included to fill out the clients' (offenders’) violence profile.
Juvenile and adult “violence tests” are set forth by name and that tests name is a link to that tests webpage or website. To begin your search click on the link that is of interest to you.
